Living a healthier life doesn’t mean it has to be complicated. I believe we can live a healthy life with some simple changes.
We tend to overcomplicate things. A lot of the time we put so much on our plate that we feel overwhelmed with all the things.
A new trend comes along and we get all fixated on wanting to do that thing because we think it’s the easy way to get from a to b.
What if we focused on doing some simple changes in our lives that could actually lead us to our objective?
Focus on what we know actually works.
No more diet pills that promise you to lose x amount of weight in a certain amount of time. No more crazy diets that don’t make sense, etc.
Lets change that perspective of wanting to get to our goal fast and easy because quite honestly that’s not how things work.
The Benefits of Living a Healthier Life
When you live a healthy lifestyle you improve your overall well-being from your physical and mental health, to an increase in energy.
If you’re a parent then you know that is needed! How is it that our kids wake up early and seem to be okay the rest of the day?
Anyways that’s for a different day.
Your longevity increases too. I mean what’s better than that?
Simple Changes You Can Implement to Live a Healthier Life
You can implement these things everyday. It’s simple things that will hopefully become second nature you won’t even realize you’re doing it.
- Drink water upon waking up. Instead of reaching for that coffee make it a thing to finish a 16 oz water bottle first. Your body will thank you.
- Park a little further. Get more steps in by doing this and also take the stairs whenever possible instead of the elevator.
- Add a serving of fruit and vegetables on your plate. Make it a thing to get at least one serving of fruit and vegetable in each meal. Try something new. You might surprise yourself and find something you actually like.
- Try to limit the sugary drinks. Skip out on that soda instead try some water.
- Go a for walk. If you can walk to work do it instead of taking the car. Better yet go for a walk with your friend. You’ll be surprised how much walking you’ve done without even thinking about it.
- Get a good nights sleep. Make sure you have at least a good 7-9 hours of sleep. I know sometimes easier said than done.
- Meal prep. If you struggle to eat healthier make sure to meal prep some of your favorite go to meals. That way you don’t feel the need to constantly reach for snacks throughout the day. Have your favorite fruits and vegetables washed and ready to eat.
- Incorporate activities that get you moving. If that is 10-15 minutes a day of yoga do it. If that’s going to the park with your child to play frisbee do that.
Final Thoughts
Don’t over complicate things. Keep it simple. Start small there’s no reason to change everything all at once.
That’s only going to overwhelm you. Pick one or two things to focus on first and then add some more.
If this was helpful to you saved this to refer back to and go ahead and share this with your friends. Until next time, friend.

I love your suggestions to make small changes to your lifestyle at first. That is so much easier to manage than a complete overhaul right off the bat. Thanks for the inspiration!

I am proud to say that I follow all these daily habits 🙂 The one that I probably should improve, though, is getting a good quality sleep…

Yay good for you.
