Going to an amusement park is always a fun thing to do. Whether it is your birthday or not, having family there is even better.

Wake up early and make it a whole day thing. Ride all the cool roller coasters. Your family will have a great time and so will you or the birthday boy or girl. 

Explore a Nearby City

Explore a nearby city. Visit a place you have never been to, maybe a new restaurant or a shopping center. Look online to search for any kind of guided tour you can go to. That would be a fun experience to do with family or your best friends. 

Plan a Game Night

Plan a game night with different board games or binge-play video games. If you want to have a chill day at home, this would be a great way of doing so with your favorite people.  

Spend the Day Thrifting 

Do you like finding treasure at thrift stores? Well, spend the day thrifting with family! Go from one thrift store to another. What a cool way to celebrate your birthday.

You and your family will have so much fun finding treasures. After all that shopping, end the day by going to your favorite restaurant.

Explore a winery on your special day. Of course, this would be better suited without any young kids. But still an incredible experience with your loved ones. A little wine-tasting never hurt anyone.

Enjoying a comedy show on your birthday would be a great idea, ideally without little kids, since I do not see them getting that excited over it. However, with older siblings, I can see this being a fun thing to do.

Sign up for a fitness class, painting, or any other type of class. Even something like a pottery workshop, sewing or quilting class would be a good idea too. 

Go to the Drive-in Theater 

Chill at the drive-in theater with family. Pick out a funny movie, a chick flick, or maybe a horror movie if that is your thing. 

Go Camping

Go camping or glamping if that is what you like. Camping with family seems like a fun thing to do. Even with friends that would be just as fun.

Have a Birthday Party

It’s your birthday this doesn’t mean you can’t have a party with just family members and some of your close friends. At the end of the day, it is your big day so celebrate it as you wish!

Play Mini Golf

Play a round or two of mini golf. Get a little competitive with the family. You can’t go wrong with mini golf. The whole family is going to have fun.

Ice skating is another cool idea you can do with your family.

Going for a hot air balloon ride would be a unique way of celebrating your birthday with family! There is no better way to celebrate your birthday than going on a hot air balloon ride. Just imagine the view you will have. WOW!

Keep it simple and have a movie night/binge-watch movies. Doordash your favorite meal and have them delivered. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

Visit a museum on your birthday. I know it may not seem like a cool idea, but there are some interesting museums out there.

Some museums to consider visiting are The Museum of Ice Cream, The Exploratorium, The National Museum of Play, and The Museum of Science and Industry.

Plan a day to go fishing. Make it an all-day thing. Bring the delicious food and plan accordingly. Everyone will have a good time whether they’re fishing or not.

Play paintball with the family. I know, not for everyone, but if your family is up for it that would be a good time with them.

If your birthday lands on a day when there will be a music festival going on, go celebrate your special day there.

A helicopter tour would be a unique way to celebrate your special day. Book a tour ride for a city skyline, coastal, or mountain tour. It will be an unforgettable day for the birthday girl or birthday boy!

 Visit a zoo you have never been to. Explore another zoo and see what kind of animals are there.

Signing up for a Spartan race or Tough Mudder would be a great way to have fun and quality time with family. Of course, this is not for everyone, but if your family is up for a challenge, this would be an exciting thing to do.
